Lendable equipment is available to UVA Rec members. 

Lendable equipment must be returned on the same day it was borrowed to the same facility it was borrowed from. Any equipment that is returned late may incur a fee. 

Equipment must be returned directly to a staff member. If the building is closed before the user can return the equipment, the users are responsible for returning the equipment as soon as possible to avoid a late charge. 

If equipment is lost or no longer can be returned a charge is incurred on their account. If UVA Rec staff can’t locate it, the burden of proof falls on the person who rented out the equipment.

Any lost, unreturned, or damaged equipment may incur a charge to the user’s account.

Any UVA Rec event lendable equipment should not be taken for use off grounds. 

Event Equipment Policies

Event equipment requests must be submitted at least 4 days and no more than 30 days from the date of the event. 

Event equipment requests are reviewed and equipment is provided by UVA Rec based on availability. UVA Rec reserves the right to deny rental requests to individuals or groups that fail to adhere to UVA Rec or university policies.

Before placing a request for event equipment, all members must have a confirmed reservation for the space.
